"We want to get baptized in a year!", Zumba, ....and Happy Birthday to me!!!

Hola Familiares y Amigos!

So this week was really good! Got to go to a baptism for the other elders here in Bermejo. I got to give a talk on the Holy ghost in the dark and in the middle of my talk the lights came back on (power went out). We also got to sing a special musical number "I Need Thee Every Hour", which was really spiritual. Here are some pics from that night.

Had lunch with one of my favorites, the Vargas family, on Sunday and no lie, Hermano Vargas is like a Bolivian Brother Strong.....the nicest, most friendly and positive guy!

Earlier in the week I met a kid whose legal name is literally Alex John Cena Llanos.....soooooo:

Other than that, yeah, we found this super dead giant frog in the road this week....
Kinda cute, gonna teach his family 'bout the plan of salvation or something...Anyways

Took this picture of the pension's kid today eating some crackers too

SO TODAY WAS MY BIRTHDAY!  I got two amazing birthday packages from home and that is always so awesome.  It was a good day today, thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes, and I ate some cake today that the pension made for me and played soccer with the other elders.

Homework Challenge for Everyone For Conference coming up this weekend
I had a revelation experience during church this Sunday so your homework is to:

- Have 3 questions in mind for all the sessions of general conference. Write them down and pray to the Lord before each session to find the answer to your questions.
- Take time to think about the questions truly and I promise the Lord will deliver. He answered all 3 of mine last conference.

Bolivian Interpol Traffic Stop and Almost Detainment...Viva Bolivia!

Another adventurous and great week! 😃

We went to Tarija this Thursday for a Multi-Zone conference which is 3 hours away in a Taxi so that was a fun car ride...one way hahahahahahahha. Had to get up after 1am to get ready to head up there.  Got to Tarija and had salteñas before the conference.  I got to see other elders I hadn't seen for awhile....good times!

Fotos with the asistentes

Fotos with Elder Estarita (My first comp and trainer!!) and Elder Maravilla

Got a picture with Elder Elder Allred and Elder Rustad after a long time of having not seen them.  We went through the CCM (MTC) together in Mexico City.

(Gratuitous stock photo added for dramatic effect...)
Sooo....on the way back from Tarija, we got stopped by Bolivian Interpol.  I don't have my Bolivia ID card yet, my passport is with the attorney who is arranging my ID Card, so there I am with no international ID.  I got asked to step out of the car, but I had my Utah drivers license and that was 'sufficient for their needs'.......good, but not good.😲

We are finally seeing progress here with investigators who are ready to follow Christ.  It feels good knowing the spirit is working through us to make good things happen.

We still have protests going on here here and beautiful views.

Spiritual message time:
Alma 37:44-46
44 For behold, it is as easy to give heed to the word of Christ, which will point to you a straight course to eternal bliss, as it was for our fathers to give heed to this compass, which would point unto them a straight course to the promised land.
45 And now I say, is there not a type in this thing? For just as surely as this director did bring our fathers, by following its course, to the promised land, shall the words of Christ, if we follow their course, carry us beyond this vale of sorrow into a far better land of promise.
46 O my son, do not let us be slothful because of the easiness of the way; for so was it with our fathers; for so was it prepared for them, that if they would look they might live; even so it is with us. The way is prepared, and if we will look we may live forever.

Which Country has the President who speaks French?

Starting the second quarter of my mission this week. Crazy!

So this week was also a good one. We got the hookups here in Bermejo and we got to play soccer today in the giant stadium with like 20 people mas o menos and that was awesome.

We should have a baptism on March 31st for the familia Jaramillo which is awesome!!!!!!

What else...yeah so my house is really cool all the missionaries here are bomb and hilarious. Things are going a lot better with my companion now that I have been studying more up on patience, charity and love.

Yeah that`s about it for his week sorry nothing crazy happened. I will have more pics and stuff next week because we have a zone conference in Tarija.

Six Months Into My Mission

WELLLLLLLLLP

I have officially completed 6 months out here in the mission. I can`t believe how fast time flies by out here. This week was full of tons of surprises that`s for sure but it was still really good.

One of our investigators who was going to be baptized this week had a miscarriage so it fell through sadly but we are doing everything we can to help her and her family with what they have got going on.

Got my new bible cover and it turned out amazing, not gonna lie. My man Renee hooked it up back in Santa Cruz before I got emergency transferred here to Bermejo.

This week, not gonna lie, was really good though. Had a lot of success in the beginning of the week finding and teaching my brothers and sisters who are looking for the answers to their prayers.

"One of God`s greatest gifts to us is the joy of trying again, for no failure ever need be final." -President Thomas S. Monson

"Don`t let the atonement of Jesus Christ be in vain"

The mission truly helps you see the good in people, the learning experiences, and how our own testimony can help others come unto Christ. Share your testimony with everyone because not only are you helping others gain a stronger testimony of the Lord, but you too will gain a powerful testimony every time after. Seeing the atonement work in others lives truly is amazing, seeing how they can truly come to a better understanding of the Savior and what His sacrifice made possible for us.

Anyways, really starting to become good friends with Elder Lyell who lives in the house with us here. He is our DL and that fool is hilarious. Enjoy the stupid pics of us here after our intercambio we had this week.
